My name is Marijn Raeven, and I'm a 3D artist living in Leuven, Belgium.
I discovered 3D Animation in 2002 and have been an active 3D-animator ever since. First as an amateur, since 2007 as a professional freelancer.
A few other details:
- Clients I've worked for over the years include Intel, Suzuki, the Belgian government, Mobistar, Arcelor Mittal, and many others. Animations have been featured on tv (één, VTM, VT4,...), film, and cinema.
- Illustrations have been used in magazines, packaging, and books. Illustrations have also been featured in various trade magazines.
- "The Importance of Sweet and Salt", a short film for which I animated one of the main characters - a talking fish - made it onto the longlist of the Academy Awards 2014.
- I've always used Cinema 4D as my main 3D package. I'm also a Cinema 4D beta tester. Some of my works have been used to promote Cinema 4D, the most well known being a close-up of a basket full of grapes. I've also made various contributions to the Content Browser that comes with each version of Cinema 4D.
