Overview

The F/A-18 Hornet Tutorial for Cinema 4D covers a variety of modelling techniques. The tutorial shows you how to build the F/A-18 model from scratch, while gradually adding more details. Tips and tricks are also given during the entire course of the tutorial.

The total runtime of the tutorial is about 7 hours. The tutorial is split into 21 parts:

01 - Creating a Rocket - 17:22

03 - Creating the Main Body - 21:16

04 - Creating the Side - 16:07

05 - Adding Detail to the Side - 23:16

07 - Tweaking the Side - 23:25

08 - Adding Four Wings - 22:04

09 - Creating the Engine - 28:47

18 - Tweaking - 20.09

19 - Adding Gear - 19.29

20 - Adding More Gear - 15:42

21 - Finishing the Model - 21:28

The only thing not completely illustrated in the tutorial is the creation of the landing gear, due to the fact that it is a lot of "dumb" work since the landing gear consists of many simple shapes. So instead of a full tutorial, an overview of how to construct it is given. The Cinema 4D scene for the landing gear is also included. Apart from this element, everything is fully shown in the tutorial. The main focus is of course on the most difficult part, the main body.

FAQ

Q: Which version of Cinema 4D do I need to be able to follow the tutorial?

A: The tutorial was recorded in Cinema 4D R11, but you can also follow it if you are using Cinema 4D R12, R10 or R9. If you're using R13, you will notice that some of the modelling tools have moved to a slightly different menu - these new menus are however much better than the old menus, so you will have no problem finding the correct tool.

Q: What's the spoken language in the tutorial?

A: The spoken language is English. Feel free to look at the sample video.

Q: Do I need any plugins or additional stuff?

A: No, the tutorial only uses the basic tools, no plugins are used. You could even download the demo and use that to practice the tutorial on.

Q: What do I receive after ordering?

A: You will receive a unique link from which you can download the necessary files. This link was created only for you, so be careful not to send it around.

Q: What is the video format of the tutorials?

A: The tutorials are all in flash, just like the sample video. The video quality of the sample represents the video quality in the rest of the tutorial.
